Hello There! We are the Howell Family. Richard and Natalie...and our 6 children. Carter is 13, Cassidy is 11, Lily is 9, Landon is 8, and Caleb and Isaac are our one year old adopted blessings. God has given us a heart for children, adoption and for special needs. Thank you for considering our family for your precious children.
We have been married for almost 17 years. We met at church and we knew from the beginning that we would have a large family. Richard works for AT&T as a service technician where he has worked for 23 years. Natalie is a professional photographer but stays at home to care for the children. She was also a Labor and Delivery nurse before the children were born.
Lily with her great grandma in North Carolina where we spend a lot of time with family during the year.
Lily is our silly girl. She is fun and so compassionate. She cares more about others than herself. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up and she loves to sing and do art projects.
The girls walking down the dirt road our house is on.
Landon is our goofy, smart, sweet guy!! He was the baby of the family until we adopted Caleb. He is sensitive and funny. He loves to breakdance and make people laugh. He also loves technology, especially his ipad.
These were from before our adoptions.
We homeschool and we are part of a community of homeschoolers called Classical Conversations. We do field trips together, activities and we meet weekly to learn about history, art, science, math, writing, and other subjects. The children LOVE Classical Conversations and the relationships we form there. We work each day from about 8am-3pm and we are finished with school work by the time Daddy gets home. We have LOTS of family time and our lives revolve around this time together. We make time together our priority.
Our babies add such joy and celebration to our lives. Caleb and Isaac each have special needs and we rejoice in every milestone. They bring so much laughter and happiness to our family. They teach us to love unconditionally and have taught the children compassion, love and empathy.
We enjoy time at the lake near our home with friends.
Isaac's birth family visits often and we love them dearly. We love open adoption. We also have a very close relationship with Caleb's birthmom.
We spend a lot of time with our church family. We do ministry together, play together, worship together. They support us and love our growing family absolutely unconditionally. This was Rich baptizing Landon with our Pastor.
The kids have learned so much responsibility from the babies. Cassidy wants to be a physical therapist and Lily wants to be a nurse.
Isaac has Pallister Killian Syndrome and will live with us forever. He's such a precious blessing. Caleb was born drug addicted and with Congenital CMV, his delays are mild. He is the funniest, most affectionate baby we've ever met!
Please let us know if you have any questions about our family. Our hearts and home are open.
